North East Tourism Awards 2010 for Self catering Accommodation the Hytte won the "Silver" Award.
"Intriguing grass-roofed, timber building in the style of a Norwegian Mountain Lodge with its stunning, contemporary interior. Spacious, stylish and uncluttered, it is immediately welcoming and hugely pleasurable - perfect to slow down, relax, and unwind. Lots to do outside: lounging in the sauna or hot tub, badminton, basket ball and a trampoline, watching the wildlife - particularly the 'bug hotel!'
Or simply enjoying a glass of wine on the decked terrace watching the famous Bingfield sunset over the glorious, rolling, countryside while the swallows swoop under the eaves.
Warm and welcoming hosts with an inspiring and infectious passion for their product and the North East make sure that visitors get the most from their visit through unusually comprehensive information about the property, what to see and do, with separate folders for accessibility and sustainability"
The guest book demonstrates how much their attention to detail is appreciated. This is an exceptional self-catering property demonstrating so much good practice, cleverly providing a luxurious experience which can be equally enjoyed by those looking for straight forward self-catering accommodation, those needing an accessible environment, or those seeking a sustainable holiday experience".
